Happy Halloween Blog Hop

Hi All and Welcome!

Happy Halloween and welcome to the Bombshell's Hump Day Blog Hop! It's a hop with a twist - create a "Black and White" Halloween project. "Black & White Halloween" can be very elegant or very creepy. If you wish, you can use one additional color, other than skin or hair tones. You can only use one additional color besides black and white.

Say hello to the Bombshell of Frankenstein (she's from the Halloween Costume digi stamp set for Bombshell Angel)....

I loved this challenge, I've done several black and white color challenges and they've been a load of fun. I thought she looked very much like the ol Bride of Frankenstein movie - especially since she's in black and white. But she's still elegant! A girl's gotta have her bling, even if she is pieces parts. I colored her with C1, C3, C5, C7 and C9. I embossed some white cardstock with a burlap embossing folder and cut it into strips so it looked more "mummyish".

Now it's your turn. Check out all the lovely Bombshell blogs and leave some love. You could win a set of stamps! Christine is next on the hoppity list.

Good Morning All!

It's a busy day here on the blog, I've got 2 that's right 2 fabulous things to share today!

First, it's Dare To Be Sassy Thursday - our challenge this week...a Christmas or Holiday card in PINK! I know I thought it would be a little weird too, however, I really like the way it turned out:

She's Sexy Santa! Yea baby! Who says Santa can't wear pink. She's colored with Copics and the background cardstock is embossed using folder by Basic Grey for Sizzix. Love her! Now it's time for you to play along with us, create a Holiday oir Christmas card in pink and add your design on the Dare To Be Sassy Thursday section of the Sassy Studio Designs blog using inlinks, remember, there are prizes involved! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Next, is something I'm SUPER excited about...drum roll please......

A brand new release by Bombshell Stamps! There are two - Indian Princess and Indian Warrior. They're available not only as mounted and unmounted rubber stamps but digital as well! They're right up my alley since I love anything Native American. Here's a peek of a stamp from the Indian Princess set:

That's Just Frightful!

Hi All!

Happy Sunday - today is day two of my daughter's soccer tournament, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they win! Sorry, I had to throw that in there. :-)

Now on to business! Welcome to another fabulous Kenny K's Krefty Krew Challenge! Our theme this week is "That's Just Frightful!"  Spook us out this week with a frighteningly fab design. Remember to add your creation (cue lightning and thunder) to the inlinks at the bottom of the Krafty Krew challenge post for a chance to win!

I created something with Frankie this time - I love that goofy face. I tried out a fun technique called "toling". (Come on you've seen it - cut-outs of the same image layered on top of each other to give them a 3-D effect.) Anyway, I colored ol' Frankie up several times and cut out his hair, eyes/nose and his smile and layered them on top of each other with 1/8" pop dots. (I know they're the thinner ones at any rate.) I love the way he turned out.

I Just love him! Okay, now it's your turn. Create something spooktacular, leave some love and add your design to the inlinks on the blog over with the Krafty Krew.  This weeks sponsors are:

And our second sponsor is
Laura's prize is the winner's choice of a $10.00 stamp from her store!
Hope to see you there!
Until Next Time!

Halloween Spooktacular!

Hi All!

It's Thursday.........Time for Dare To Be Sassy Thursday! This week it's all about your best spooky Halloween projects. I tried something a bit different with the spooky element - I thought she would look elegantly spooky by making the card as white as possible.

BV000, BV00, BV01, BG0000, C1, C3, C5, V000, V01

I used a lot of blue violet, violet, gray and a little bit of blue green. I colored over the entire image with a clear Spica to all a little shimmer. She's Sassy Ghost, from the Sassy Studio Designs Halloween Collection. There's a ton of fabulous Halloween designs - you should check them out!

Okay, now it's your turn - show us what ya got and you could win a prize! Make sure you post your project in the inlinkz on the Sassy Studio Designs Dare to Be Sassy Challenge. Can't wait to see!

Good luck and have a fang-tastic day!

Ms. October's Challenge

Alex Lundgren is Ms. October and she set this month's challenge, which is "Halloween Bling"!!! Here's what she had to say about it:
The challenge for the month of October is to create with your Bombshell stamps and include some bling, sparkle, shimmer and shine in the Halloween colors of black, orange, green or purple. Your creation does not need to be Halloween themed however. In fact, even better if it isn't! Most of all, HAVE FUN and show us what you create, using the InLinkz tool!
So, that said, here's my take on the challenge:

I took as close up because I wasn't happy with the way the bling showed up on the full pic. Still doesn't show it off very well. At any rate, I used Butterfly Queen and colored her up mostly with Copics, then add all the little blingy bits to her outfit and crown. The rhinestone flourishes are also colored with YR16 and the stones on her hips are colored with V17 so it all matches nicely. I figure I can be a Halloween card or NOT! LOL. The skirt bit is colored with V12, V15, V17 and then I went over it with the Lilac Sipca. Her shoe is G09 and I went over that too with a Green Spica.

All righty, now it's your turn! Get blingy with it and submit your design at the Bombshell Blog - you could win a stamp set!

Have a Fang-Tastic Day!

Until Next Time,
